5.0 out of 5 stars A fitting 4 hour finale to a great series, 22 Jan 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars [DVD] (DVD)
This 4 hour mini series has everything for the die hard Farscape fan. A sense of closure, a touch of sadness and a real sense of joy.
The first 2 hours are a little slow, but build up towards the climatic final hour in which all questions are answered. The final 20 minutes or so are truely fantastic television and rival anything i have seen. Crichton really does decend into darkness and shows the true strenth of our little human :)
A fitting end to the best sci fi series of recent times.

Yes, hear hear. I totally agree. I just finished re-watching the entire series plus Peacekeeper Wars for the umpteenth time, and I STILL get teary-eyed at the end ...tears that mean the most FANTASTIC series ever has come to an end.

There are a few things they could have done to improve the earlier portion of Peacekeeper Wars a little bit (me, I would have left out the pregnant Rygel subplot altogether, and just resurrected John and Aeryn as they were and moved on), but as you say, the ending was pretty flawless, really.

Looking forward to the Rockne O'Bannan comic coming out in October, which is supposedly going to be a 'continuation.' Yee ha. I just hope he gives John, Aeryn and "Little D" some peace, though!

So many other things to work with though. Sikozu. She was a bioloid. That must mean there is a 'real' Sikozu out there in a box somewhere? I'd love to meet Nerri. And I'd love to see Crichton's nephew Bobby eventually make it into space, and maybe reunite with Crichton ...probably years in the future, though. And I've always had a soft spot for poor old Lt/Captain Braca. Hope nice things happen to him.
