Not much detail,
This review is from: Liberation: The Bitter Road to Freedom, Europe 1944-1945 (Hardcover)
For anyone trying to work out how the people of Europe got back on their feet in the aftermath of WW2 the book is a bit of a dissapointment.
Probably 80% of the content is common knowledge and much of the book is taken up by events before the liberation.
There is a distinct lack of first-hand accounts of conditions following liberation.I would have liked there to be a clue as to how the people of Europe percieved their future back in the summer of 1945.
