Essential Photoshop guide,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Photoshop Masking & Compositing (Voices That Matter) (Paperback)
As a 'lower intermediate' level user of Photoshop I find this to be one of the essential core books on the program (to which I would add Evening's Adobe Photoshop CS6 for Photographers: A professional image editor's guide to the creative use of Photoshop for the Macintosh and PC, and Kelby's The Adobe Photoshop CS6 Book for Digital Photographers (Voices That Matter)). It doesn't cover every aspect of the program, as the title indicates, but what it does cover can't be bettered. It is good to see this updated edition, long expected, as Photoshop has moved on a long way since CS2. So why only 4 stars? Because the publishers have reduced the length by 10%, and taken the intensely annoying decision to ditch the essential chapter on the Pen tool and merely provide it on their website: hacking around with a well-designed book like this is a cheap move. The price of the book, however, is certainly not cheap in comparison with other Photoshop titles.
