Easy summer read,
This review is from: The Wedding Officer (Paperback)
We really enjoyed reading this just after a trip to Naples which included a visit to Vesuvius; the book gives a feelng of what it must have been like during the 1944 eruption and seems well researched. A volcano, some Italian dialogue, mild erotica and descriptions of Italian cooking which make the mouth water (the cooking that is!); what more could an Italophile desire. Perfect page turner for the hols; preferably somewhere warm and boot shaped. We'll go back and read Anthony's "The Food of Love" as Livia would say; "l'appetito viene mangiando".
