My copy came with a sticker that proclaimed it was their best album yet. I don't think that's true. but this is certainly a strong abum. This is a real mix of different styles, from 'remember the future'-ish tracks to shorter tracks. The opening track, A Better Way, is an excellent opener, with its progressive rock instrumental passages and a catchy melody. This track really does take me back to 'Remember the future'. The following track, with its Mexican sounds, is a bit of an oddity, but decent enough, and some of the other tracks street dangerously close to AOR.
However, most of the tracks are firmly in Prog territory, with some sensational playing from all concerned - Tranquility has some fantastic keys and guitar, and If Only I could is a prog epic, and the instrumental track Juggernaut moves from being a Camel-ish guitar led track into a jazz fusion track that alternates between keys and guitar, with plenty of synths adding details in the background.
This is very good album, and I imagine fans of Genesis, Pink Floyd, Hawkwind and Camel will also find a lot to like here. It's an eclectic mix, with some classy songs and excellent playing.
