This review is from: City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, Book 3) (Paperback)If your hooked on the other 2 books, then you will definantly love this one. By far, the best out of all 3. From the previous books I was desperate for Jace and Clary to get together, even though it was wrong. This book carries that on, and when Jace shouts at Clary I almost wanted to cry for her. There is so much tension and the only annoying part is waiting till the end to find out another big twist in the form of Sebastian...
During the first book I really liked Simon, but my likeness wore off in the 2nd one. In this one the likeness is back, but obviously no character can beat Jace. He is just so arrogant in all the books, and in this one, that you just cant help but fall in love with him along with Clary. When he starts thinking that hes the baddie I just wanted to scream, 'your not!'
The book is a bit slow to get going with action, but that only lasts a short time. Once the action gets going it doesnt stop!
Then at the end, like in the first book, there were more twists but instead of being evil and horrible like in the first these were much nicer but still as suprising! The ending had me on the edge of my seat, so much, that I skim-read the last few pages and then went back and read it all again. I was just way too impatient to find out what was going to happen! Even after the skim-read and I went back to read it all again there were yet more suprises.
By the end I missed, and still miss, the characters so much! Yes, there are a few things that could be better about the book, but the fact that I couldnt get my head out of it just cancels them all out. Jace is one of them characters that you just cant help to fall in love with.
So if you havent read the first two, read them and you will get addicted! If you have and think there great, then you will think this is amazing! An amazing read!
