So far I am half way through the book and I can't be bothered with the heroine. I get the premise, she's annoyed. But her insistence that her husband come to love her while she is being bitchy the whole way through is very boring. I hope it gets better, so it's not less than 3 stars yet. I can't imagine it getting more than 3 stars because being bored with half the book does not deserve any more. I liked the beginning, and I got the premise of the hero auctioning himself off and the heroine being disillusioned by love. It is also nice that not all the power lies with the hero, but I'm not sure how likely it is that all the money would stay with her, as they did get married in England, he is a lord and English law would prevail. I would go with the circumstances but they are boring and the heroine is whiny. "I want you to want to spend time with me" - that is too childish.
