If you like your McCartney a little Rough?,
This review is from: Wings Wild Life (Audio CD)
I bought this album when I was at school when it came out,no one like it then either! However, it was, and is. a "cool"album. It is probably the most un Beatles like album Paul McCartney has ever been on, no real production, a new band playing. It "kicks off" with what has been called "a two chord grunge" "Mumbo",actually nice guitar sound...."Bip bop" harmless enough....."Love is Strange" a fantastic reggae track before most people had ever heard reggae! "Wild Life" is superb, great harmonies on "Some People never Know", "Tomorrow" not as famous as its predecessor, but a good track, a couple of little instrumentals, and "Dear Friend" which Linda sings. The new cd version has "Give Ireland Back to the Irish" single written and recorded after Sunday Bloody Sunday which although sounding naive, was brave to say something. "Little Woman Love" a great little b side (Mary Had a little Lamb). Also," Mama's little Girl", a curious unreleased track. Not the best Wings album, but an album that must be heard for being just a little different.

Andy Sweeney says:
Linda did not sing "Dear Friend", it was Paul.
