An motivating tale and guidebook by the World's Fastest Man,
By A Customer
This review is from: Slaying the Dragon: How to Turn Your Small Steps to Great Feats (Hardcover)While it was Micahel Johnson's cold stare, blast from the
starting blocks, and dazzling gold feet that capitvated the
world's attention at the Atlanta Olympics, in Slaying the
Dragon, he returns to the spotlite with well written words
to speak about the reasons behind his tremendous success.
This book is more than a tale about running, although it
does a great job to vanquish any runner's hunger for extra
training secrets and tips and has many excellent track and
field photographs. The heart of the book, however, is not
about sport and that is what makes it a great read. It is
his beliefs on the powers of motivation, commitment, desire,
and excellence that make Slaying the Dragon a story about
the game of life and how we all can attain our own gold
medals and world record performances. I highly reccommend
this book to anyone who desires to excel above and beyond.
From athletes, to CEO's, to housewifes...Slaying the
Dragon is a book that will teach its reader secrets to
suceed in athletics, careers, relationships, and life. Mr.
Johnson's words are full of helpful ideas, hints, and
stories that bring you to understand not just the reasons
why he is such a successful man, but how the reader can
achieve more as well. It is this quality that make
Slaying the Dragon an excellent sports book and an even
better motivational book.
