This review is from: BlackBerry Q10 SIM-Free Smartphone - Black (Wireless Phone)
Even though I have tried nearly every phone on the market ranging from iPhone to Motorola, I've always been an avid Blackberry user and have had the Bold 9000, Bold 9900, Z10 and now the Q10. I much prefer the Q10 to Z10 as I hate touch screens but both phones are amazing - it just depends what you're using it for. The Q10 is perfectly designed to fit in your hand whilst you type e-mails and texts at lightening speed. The phone itself is marginally heavier than other phones I have used, however it is unnoticeable. I was worried about having no track pad but I got used to it after a day and have forgotten all about it now. If you want a reliable device, predominately for business get the Q10. If you want a blackberry for media or videos get the Z10. If you want a toy, get the iPhone.

"If you want a toy get the iPhone" - nice one Jamie, you've summed up my own views on Apple very succinctly!

Hi Jamie, I have had a Z10 for 10 months now and love BB10 but I can't cope with touchscreens after years of Blackberry QWERTY. As usual there are plenty of negative reviews on the Q10 so I was just wondering, several months on, are you still happy with your Q10?

Several months on I am still incredibly happy with my blackberry. The only issue is that blackberry link is not installing on my computer so I cannot update music/photos etc, however that is an isolated problem. There is still a lack of apps but with a Z10 you know that. Hope this helps. Another phone worth looking at might be the Samsung S4. I have looked at one after receiving no help from blackberry about the BlackBerry link problems and it is touch screen, but it's not like any others i've tried. Feel free to ask any other questions.

Hi Jamie, thanks for the quick response. I have looked at a few Samsung models and they would definitely be my second choice after Blackberry. I've also had issues with link, it crashes my laptop when connected via USB. Regardless, going to give the Q10 a go, have you seen the black and white models? Reviews seem to say the black one feels better quality because of the back cover?

I have seen both models and I think they both feel quite nice, but I think the white is a little more feminine. The white is a bit more young/stand out from the crowd, whereas the black is a little more conservative/classy. It's up to you.

No problem. If you owned the previous blackberry bold's there are small differences like you'll reach for the non-exsistance trackpad and the keys on the keyboard are straight instead of curved like on the bolds however you get used to these over time. Let's just hope blackberry buck up their ideas and fix blakberry link!
