A Well-Reasoned Book,

This review is from: Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity and Poverty (Paperback)
This is a well-written book, debunking most of the well-worn but probably erroneous theories about why some nations fail and others prosper. Their view is that the reasons are political. That's the easy bit. More difficult is their explanations why some nations end up with political regimes that encourage freedom and growth whereas others don't.
It's very thought-provoking, and a good read.
