This review is from: The Innocent Man (Paperback)
This book is about the wrongful conviction of a man called Ron Williamson, and another man who were both accused of raping and murdering a young woman. The story starts by looking at Ron's early life, his baseball career and then his degrading mental health. Not at all helped by him spending several years in Death Row for a crime he never committed.
You will be staggered by the ways that bent coppers and prosecuters get their men. As if that wasn't enough, lazy defence lawyers and judges make the situation worse.
If you were pro death penalty before you read this book, you probably won't be after.
