A very useful book,
This review is from: Human Evolution, Diet and Health: The Case for Palaeolithic Nutrition (Paperback)This book is both enthralling and informative. Mark starts right at the beginning (literally) providing background information and setting the scene before cleverly allowing the reader to draw their own conclusions by contrasting the modern day diet. Mark addresses some traditionally controversial topics of health with absolute transparency and by providing reliable references - all with the sole intention of educating his reader.
After having read the book from start to finish initially I realised, due to the sheer wealth of functional information, that it will become more of an ongoing reference guide to improving my diet generally. At the back of the book can be found the glossary & index; particularly useful tools for a book of such depth!
This is an enlightening book which will greatly benefit those who are prepared to boldly take the next step in understanding the science behind & surrounding nutrition.
