5.0 out of 5 stars The best punk album you've never heard..., 25 Mar. 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Boys (Audio CD)
The Boys are a classic example of a great band who made just a couple of crucial wrong turns in their career that prevented them being up there with the Pistols as leading lights of the pop-punk scene. Their debut album bears this out superbly, opening with the brilliantly mock-malevolent "Sick On You" ("if I'm gonna have a puke, you betcha life I'll puke on you!") followed by a power-chord thrashing of the Beatles' "I Call Your Name". From there on, the tunes just keep on coming - "Tumble With Me", "Tonight", the brilliant "I Don't Care", "Box Number", "Cop Cars", "Keep Running", "Livin' In The City" - classics each and every one of 'em. This is surely one of the best punk albums around and any self-respecting music fan should own a copy.
