No Emotion, No Passion and a Face like a Smacked Behind!!!,
This review is from: Impossible (Audio CD)Where do i begin!
Impossible is a depressing song sung by a depressing man who has had a depressing life end of!!!
James Arthur has won the X Factor 2012 but comes across like a man who sings with no emotion , no joy and no passion whatsoever!!
As the series wore on he seems like he is getting more contemptious to the people who have voted for him in the Victoria Beckham kind of sense and has gone from being a Street Busker on the Tube who you would avoid or give your old shrapnel too or Penny for the Guy Merchant to Stardom unbelievably Overnight.
Impossible has the amazing James Arthur Twist in which he can make any happy song sound like you need Prozac to avoid deep depression.
Don't get me wrong, i think this will fit as the Xmas No 1 as times are tough nowadays and what with people in debt ,unemployment and homelessnesss this song will fit the depression of 2012 fine and James Arthur is the man to fill it as it is depression all the way.
Don't get me wrong, i bet some people out there will be queing up to have a go at me after this review but Jimmy Page,Elton John, Rod Stewart, Paul McCartney, Pete Townshend or Gary Barlow even this guy AINT!!!!.
James Arthur towards the last few weeks of X Factor looked like a guy with a face like a Smacked Behind and sings every song in that same depressing drawl like the other and 4 people or judges who feel sorry for him think he is great but what about the rest of us a i definitely did not vote for him in any of them.
I do not think this kind of fame will last and although he has won i think Jahmene and some of the losing contestants are destined for a much brighter future than this load of depressing pap!!!
James Arthur is better off flogging this kind of stuff at either Soup Kitchens or Hostels for the Homeless rather than us paying Punters!!!!!

Is this a review of him as a person or a review of the CD?
This is a place to review the CD and that is all. What has what James will be doing in the future got to do for a review about this CD.
Are you going to comment of the quality of the tracks or what's on the CD or go off onto a personal insulting rant about James?
"Face like a Smacked Behind", what has that got to do about this CD? I feel this "review" will be removed.

If you read the review, i state that Impossible by James Arthur is just a below average song by a below average artist.
I don't dislike the guy far from it but this kind of stuff is what all us commuters see everyday when we go to work and we chuck in our old coppers into there guitar case.
There are loads of them.
Impossible is sung in a complete drawl and you can't in no way understand what this guy is singing about at all.
The quality as you state of the tracks are that they all sound the bleeding same!!!!!!!Below Average!!!

Now where do I begin!! This is just a very poor criticism really by a Mr "Rock Genius".....(I doubt that very much by the way). For one, James Arthur's VOICE isn't mentioned, only the genre of songs he sings. And as for NO passion etc., are you sure you were watching James Arthur!! You sure it wasn't that tiresome bore Christopher Baloney!!? Did you hear James' "Let's get it on" or "Power of Love"?? He's a genius and a rare and beautiful talent and he is gonna be a superstar. End of.

I will give it 8 months Total before the light starts to fade!!!!!
I agree Christopher Maloney was too Butlin's for my liking and if he won it would have been a disaster!!!
As a reviewer who has lived through through Glam Rock , Punk and New Wave, The Beatles and The Stones and all the musical genres you can think of then i am afraid James Arthur does not even come close!!!
I am unfortunately from a generation in which popular music was Guitar , Bass and Drums unlike today with these cheesy boy bands all showing there abs and false smiles.
We had all that with the Osmonds in the 70's.
Again, James Arthur is an act that is two a penny and below average at that but has just got lucky, but as i said IT WON'T LAST LONG!!!!!!

How do you know it wont last long? What is the reason?
And you cannot compare James Arthur to the likes of the Stones etc yet as James has only just started but the latter have been around for years, give him a chance at least.

I spy PI says:
PLEASE... James Arthur and Genius in the same sentence! Really? If that's the case, my dog bobdog is on X-factor next year. The similarities between the two are identical. Can't sign, can't understand what their singing, and both howl to any tune. Bobdog lived in a kennel once - human terms for bedsit - and bobdog use to growl at that Maloney geezer.

Tilly - I'm presuming the reviewer did not in fact buy this CD and therefore he is not in fact Reviewing a purchase which is what a review is for. Instead, they have used it as a way to slate an artist they watched on a tv prog and didn't like. Makes a complete mockery of the review process and the star rating for a product.

Why do i have to buy it when i have heard it countless number of times on the radio.
Again WHY would i bother wasting my money on this Dross!!!.
Don't get me wrong, i am in no way against James Arthur personally but i do think that this years X Factor was one of the worst ever and i think the power will soon go to his head as when he was getting nearer to the final he started to have no expression and no charisma to the voters who put him there and liked playing the I feel sorry for me card!!!.
Good Luck to James Arthur if he does make a successful career but i can't see him cracking America as i think his star will quickly fade.
Also i am reviewing the music that i am listening too and judging it by my own opinion and it is below average at best!!!!.
