This review is from: And Still the Music Plays: Stories of People with Dementia (Paperback)
This is a wonderful book that encourages you to really see the person and to understand the meaning behind their behaviour. Anyone, from relatives to care staff and even GP's can read this book and take something positive from it. I read it through in a few hours and found it quite moving. It is presented as a series of stories about real people exhibiting some of the repetitive aspects of behaviour frequently encountered in people with dementia such as screaming, wandering and even violence. You will have fresh insight into such behaviour after reading this book. This is a modest little book but it really does have the capacity to influence working practice for the better. I would recommend it highly.
