5.0 out of 5 stars TOP STUFF FROM THE BEST BRITISH BAND EVER!, 31 Dec. 2003
This review is from: Pop Trash (Audio CD)
So, Duran made it into the year 2000 with a new album. This is the first album from DD that did not feature John Taylor - he quit after making the previous album, Medazzaland. I for one thought that essentially being only Simon & Nick from the original 5, the Duran sound as we know it would be no more. Well, it's still here and the Duran legend is alive and well. Simon's vocals are in fine form on this album and the songwriting is awesome! Check out "someone else not me", "playing with uranium", "mars meets venus" and "last day on earth" as highlights, but PLAY THEM LOUD! This album kicks - big time! (which is why the Pop Trash tour was so great!) I am not going to give a detailed review of each song here but what I am going to say is this. This album is a Duran Duran masterpiece - buy it now! I guarantee that you will not regret it!

Mr Smith, me and my sister love you-you've said everything right and all there is to say-this fantastic record is one of their best-it doesn't matter that only 2 main memebers were there-it's the songs that matter and this album has 10 absolute toppers! Anyway they often made their best music with more than 1 member not present-'Notorious', 'Big Thing', 'Liberty' and 'Red Carpet Massacre' are a complete case in point-ditto this special record too!!
