This review is from: Turtlemeter, the Baby Bath Floating Turtle Toy and Bath Tub Thermometer (Baby Product)
Loved the look, it was fun and a nice change from a rubber duck, but after a few uses of popping it in the water, waiting for the temperature to settle, taking it out and drying the base to turn it off then leaving it to stand to dry out completely, it stopped working. It started with the display screen - it has to be tilted every which way now to try and read the temperature, whereas before it appeared very clearly right on top. Next, after the display stopped working, we started relying on the colour changing to green when we hit the right temperature to bathe our newborn in, so if it was orange we added hot water, red we'd add cold. But then that stopped working too, it stayed on orange, even though we could just about make out the display reading of 52c. After a couple more uses, the thermometer stopped working also. Again, just able to make out the reading we could see that it was stuck on 32c. Obviously we check the water ourselves before our baby goes anywhere near it, but the whole point of getting a bath thermometer was to make absolutely sure we got it right! Very disappointed with this product - obviously looks aren't everything!
