Can't get into it,
This review is from: Ottolenghi: The Cookbook (Hardcover)I live near a branch of Ottolenghi and have often popped in for their dreamy meringues. I love food and cooking and wanted to dive into this book but I just haven't wanted to cook anything from it, even after owning it for several months. The pictures are divine and the recipes sound lovely so I'm not sure why that is! Despite adoring the Ottolenghi brand I'm just not that into the book, weirdly...

I think it's because you need to have a number of dishes to get a variety of tastes - at NOPI we order three little sharing plates each and end up tasting a lot more and it becomes a feast of the senses. One dish isn't quite enough to do that and it can be laborious to make too many.
