I bought this for my mother who needs an operation on her knee. She is unable to put any weight on her knee and so she is very limited as to the range of exercise she can do. However, this mini bike is great as she can exercise whilst sat in her armchair watching telly! It is easy to use, has different tension levels and does not take up lots of room.

Just got one of these Mini Bikes and for the last few days have been using 2 or 3 times daily for half an hour. I'm no spring chicken any more, so it's a great way of getting some energy going and so flexible to use. Foot pedalling from a seated position or arm rotating on the desk or table. Beats walking in the rain, and a welcome addition even in the sun....

I use it to regain leg use since I have MS. After few sessions I have noticed improvement in body warmth, toe movement , leg mobility. It is an excellent rehab aid.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
This would be a really good idea for people who want an exercise bike but are short on space. I have a full size exercise bike too and this has exactly the same functions and display (calories, time, speed etc) as the full bike, so if I do need the extra space at some point I will probably get rid of the bike and just use this, although I think if you want to use it for a long time like one hours cycle it is more comfortable on a proper full size bike. This mini bike is very handy if you feel like you should do some exercise but at the same time you are feeling a bit lazy, so you can do some low level exercise while sitting on the comfy sofa watching tv. I used 200 calories pretty much effortlessly while just watching Graham Norton so that has got to be a good result.
It requires a small amount of assembly but its only screwing the pedals and feet on, which took under 5 minutes so that was fine.
I don't think this mini bike will give a full work out or lead to a great weightloss without other exercise and diet combined, but for what it is, it is a really good product. I think it will be easy to multitask with it like pedaling while on a laptop or even while sitting feeding babies, or anything else as its quite small and portable. I have so far only used while watching tv but I will be trying it out at different times to see if I can get the maximum use of exercising while doing other things, as it all adds up

This is a great piece of kit or anyone interested in some light exercise cycling. It's very simple to setup (it comes with a small spanner and an allen key for this purpose) and is small enough to store away neatly in a cupboard, but is too tall to store under a bed.

The display is clear, features distance, revolutions and calories burned, and the unit is easy to operate as there is only one button, which resets the display back to zero. There is also a screw on the front of the unit, enabling you to make it harder or easier to cycle by giving less or more resistance to the turning of the pedals.

I've been using the unit for about three weeks now, and am very pleased with it. I can't imagine it would give you a very hard workout, for those who are already very fit. But for those couch potatoes amongst us it's a great way to get some exercise while remaining in front of the television!

Too light, too small,Rubber feet not adequate enough to support anything other than very slow pedalling.Rubber feet will not hold on wood flooring,or even on carpet, without the machine moving about.Needs both sets of feet to be bigger to support the motion of the machine, and the rubber feet to be much more substantial.

I bought this for my husband who suffers from severe COPD. He is unable to do any normal excerise and this has enabled him to start slowly. He has been encouraged to use this every day and slowly build up his very weak legs.

Having problems with changing the pedalling tension on this mini - bike?

On one received today, the tension device does not work, and NEVER WILL without modification. Due to POOR design, assembly or QC procedures the threaded bush is incorrectly attached to the brake arm assembly (viewed through the meter orifice).

The tensioner goes through the outer case and into the 'brake' tension arm. The idea being as you increase (+) tension the brake arm moves forward onto a friction material belt on the main flywheel, causing the pedalling to be harder, and (-) reverses the procedure. Simple but effective?

Well it would be except for the fact that the 'threaded bush' has been made a 'push fit into the 'brake arm', so, instead of moving the arm forward, the bush simply pushes out of it's hole.

This can all be viewed happening quite easily.

Remove the meter, just as if you were replacing the battery, and 'hang over the side out of the way'

Tilt the machine backward so that you can see the tension screw thread and 'brake' arm, (a torch is handy here).

Turn the tension knob fully clockwise, and watch the black bush that the tension screw goes through.

You will see it 'pushing out' of the grey painted 'brake arm. Screw counter clockwise and the bush is 'pulled' back into position.

I have emailed the German supplier with the above information and returned the product to Amazon for refund.

It's a shame really because the rest of the build seems quite sturdy and the little computer works fine. OK the supplied computer battery was flat, but it is only a single AAA.

I would buy another AND give it at least 4 STARS!, if Amazon or the supplier could guarantee that the problem has been addressed, but it 'looks' Chinese in origin and though a simple spot weld would fix the issue, even if that happened, there are probably at least another five container loads of dodgy ones in the pipeline.

Ce la Vie!

Recommended by others for someone who needs exercise but can't use a normal bike of other forms of exercise equipment. My doctor is very please with my buying this and suggests that it will help with my condition. I would recommend this to everybody, whether they have health problems or not. Ten minutes a day does wonders.

Hi everyone, I'm advising everyone not to buy this item, it's cheap rubbish quality. I purchased this and just in 1 month something broke inside and is making noises now using the pede1. I have contacted this company who are based in germany and advised me to send a photo by email showing the broken part, since emailing them I haven't had any more response from them and I don't think they are interested, so don't buy !!!
