Pretty easy, the hook section has two push studs that allow that to be released. Once removed the whole pipe section slides off, you then slide it back on from the bottom then pop the hook section back on.

You loosen the bolt which allows you to lower or heighten the center column, then you take it completely out, and put it back in upside down, oh and you need to unclip the hook on the bottom otherwise the column wont come out.

There is a hook attachment on the bottom of the centre column that is used to hold a camera bag etc. To reverse the column just remove the hook using the two quick release ball bearings. With the hook removed the column slides right out the top, turn it upside down and slide it back into the holder from below. Simple, takes only a few seconds. Great for close to the ground shots - but remember your camera will be upside down!
