Charles Wilson Chino Shorts With Belt

I have these Charles Wilson chino shorts in “Sand” and size “30 Waist x Regular”. When laid flat my shorts measure roughly 22.5” long, which on me means they sit just below my knee (I’m 5’8”).

I always wear 30” trousers/jeans and these shorts fit perfectly, are very comfortable, and as they are 100% cotton are nice and lightweight making them great for summer.

I like that these shorts are a little smarter than the others I own and being Chino fabric they would be perfect for holidays; I could see them being worn on a Mediterranean cruise.

I’ve washed these shorts a couple of times so far on a 40 degree wash and they came out looking exactly as good as when they went in and they iron very well.

The shorts have open pockets on the front along with a small coin pouch, then 2 button up rear pockets, they also have a button fly and good quality stitching throughout. They come with a braided faux leather belt in a “Sand” colour with contrast detailing on the ends. I received the “Small” belt which fit me very well and measures 37” long

These chino shorts have a simple but smart look to them, if you like the images on this page you will certainly like these shorts in the flesh. Perfect for summer in the UK or abroad! Highly recommended.

I've owned enough clothes over the years to be able to tell what's good and bad quality and with these it's obvious that it's good as soon as you remove them from the pack.

Received for reviewing purposes these 'Chino Shorts' are available in 6 different colours over a wide range of sizes ranging from 30-40 inch waists. I received the 'Sand' colour in the 34 inch size - with Summer just around the corner it's an ideal pair of shorts to wear for shopping, excursions, hiking and more.

Their target audience no doubt will be individuals who are looking for a relatively thin and lightweight pair that takes up practically no space in a suitcase.

They are made of 100% cotton and its best to wash them at + 40 Deg C in a washing machine, anything hotter than + 40 Deg C is likely to do more harm than good in the long term and is best avoided.

They have a respectable amount of small and medium sized pockets (2 buttoned small at the back and 2 open medium at the front) making them ideal to hold critical items such as your smartphone, keys or wallet. The 2 pockets up front in particular are very deep and can hold a fair bit.

A lot of men wear shorts and t-shirts in the summer yet they have nowhere to put these items - with this though they are more likely to be safe and stay in your pocket.

These shorts offer something different as they are smart, good quality and lightweight. You could wear it on your holiday in the day and even at night in the restaurant or bar with a smart shirt.

In use they were comfortable to wear and overall they offer good value for money.

These Charles Wilson Chino Shorts come complete with belt and are available in six sizes from 30" to 34" waist and six colours. A matching belt is supplied - considering it comes as part of the package the belt is a real bonus and it features an attractive woven design. The shorts are made from 100% cotton and are suitable for machine washing at up to 40 degrees C.

As the name implies these shorts are akin to a cut down pair of chinos and they feature a 3 button fly plus waist button, six belt loops, 2 buttoned rear pockets, 2 front slash pockets and a neat change pocket. The buttons carry the Charles Wilson monogram and two spares are supplied. The quality of the stitching and seams is really good plus unlike certain high street brands the buttons don't come off of Charles Wilson clothes.

The styling and cut of these shorts is really nice and they'll suit men of most heights although they designed as knee length. The cotton fabric is cool and soft making these the ideal choice for holidays in the sun especially where shorts are acceptable but something smarter than camo cargo shorts is called for. Recommended.

These are conventional shorts and although perhaps not as practical as cargo ones I think they are more stylish and go anywhere shorts. The back pockets are secured by buttons and those at the front/side are conventional trouser pockets.

The material is fairly thick so they should be hard wearing but despite the thickness of the material they are nice and soft to wear. I have the slate blue ones which I like but there are a range of colours.

They are a plain colour with no embellishments which works well with this style of shorts.
The length from the top of the waist to the bottom of the leg is approximately 22” or 56cms so quite long. I have the XL ones which are a generous fit.
In all very useful stylish shorts.

The Charles Wilson Chino Shorts With Belt are a pair of reasonably smart/casual looking shorts that are perfect for the summer months.

The overall quality of the shorts is of a pretty high standard. Made from 100% cotton, the chino shorts are quite light and very comfortable to wear.

Size-wise, I'm generally around 34" to 36" waist. What I ordered was therefore the 36" waist, preferring to have the shorts slightly on the larger size than too small. I have to say the 36" waist is a tad on the larger side of the size - offering a reasonable amount of room and certainly nowhere near a small 36" (if you know what I mean).

The chino shorts are button flied, with three hard plastic buttons making up the fly and a slightly larger plastic button making up the main fastener for the shorts. The buttons aren't too tight or too loose when unbuttoning (as they can be on some shorts), and feel tough enough not to break if knocked hard or in the washing machine.

The stitchwork is of a good standard. On close inspection you can see tight stitching throughout, with very little snags or slips in the stitchwork. As such the shorts will no doubt last for a good while of general wear over the summer months.

Overall I'd say that I'm very happy with the chino shorts. They're not overly fancy or anything. They just look good and will go with almost all tops etc.

The chino shorts also come with a faux leather braided belt. The one that came included (which was actually sent separately for me, so not in the accompanying video) is the 'Charles Wilson Braided Belt'.

I was kindly provided with a reviewer's sample of these 34" sand-coloured Chino shorts for honest reviewing purposes.

* About the fit:
- We got the 34" sized shorts and these felt like a good fit so I'd say the sizing is accurate.
- Wearing the shorts felt very comfortable
- The length of the shorts reached just to the knee - a good length

* About the material:
Feels like good quality fabric that has a sturdy, smooth texure to it. The material is a medium-weight - not super lightweight but not excessively heavy either. It's made of 100% cotton which is great since it's a breathable, natural fibre. On the flip side, since it's cotton, it is a little prone to creasing (as you'll notice in the video) and will probably need ironing to look it's best.

* About the fly:
Note that it has a button fly rather than a zip fly.

* About the pockets:
It has 5 pockets in total: 2 on the back, 2 on the front and 1 extra small pocket on the front for small change or other small things.

* About the stitching:
On the whole the stitching looks good. I'd give it an "A-" for stitching rather than an "A" since there were one or two loose threads and a few tiny stitching errors that I noticed when I looked really closely - nothing too serious though.

* About the belt:
The matching belt provided is braided belt and I was surprised upon first seeing it because it doesnt' have any holes! You use the buckle prong and push it in between the tight braid where-ever you like, to enable you to fit the belt in a more personalized-fit way than conventional belts would.

* Overall:
My overall impression was that these are a classy, stylish looking pair of shorts with a bonus handy belt to go with them.

More streamlined than cargo shorts, with one small card/lighter pocket at the front, two slip in pockets at the hip, and two button down pockets at the back, these smoothies will sail through a day on the water, a beach party, golfing, walking and generally taking it easy.

Soft and pre washed, instantly friendly and comfortable, these shorts are more old friends than new, and will become a firm favourite, no doubt. Their length from waist to hem is 22". You could fold or roll them up to make them briefer. The Khaki colour is instantly recognisable as an English gentleman's holiday attire, it would go well with sandals (but no socks!).

You will probably need the belt as the waist 34" but you might need to tighten your belt from time to time. All the seams are neatly sewn, top quality as always for this company.

This is a stylish pair of black chino shorts which I was sent for review. It has two side pockets and two internal back pockets which are secured shut with buttons.The fabric is fairly heavyweight but it has a lovely soft feel to it and feels nice quality. It has three buttons to the fly and a button at the top which is sewn in place so you could move it a shade left or right if required. The inside leg measures 11 inches. There are six belt loops and it comes with a sturdy navy plaited belt with a regular buckle.The belt is a good length measuring over 50 inches. Mine were labelled as 40 but they actually measure a waist of 42 Inches. Measurement from crotch to the top of the waistband on my pair is 13 inches they are labelled as a 100% cotton and washable at 40°. They are a true black. These look great with a casual shirt.

These were so much better than I thought they would be. They are extremely well made and fit wonderful. I love the quality of them and they was very well, not losing colour or shape at all. The belts are great, not good for tightening, but as the fashion accessory they are amazing quality. They look really smart, they fit extremely well and I would highly recommend these for the price. You won't be disappointed.

A very prompt delivery. These shorts are real value at £4:95. However, the ticket price shows £24:95 and the ticket price for the belt shows £14:95. So if you were to pay full price for both the items you would be shelling out nearly £40 !!! They are NOT worth nearly £40. Something is going on with marketing to make you feel you are getting a great deal. However, as I have said...Under a fiver...I'll have some more.
