I've read and loved Devils Kiss and Satans Property, so when this book became available, I jumped at the chance to read it.
Ava is the female lead in this story and after loosing her job, she applies for what she believes will be her dream job. Ava does question how quickly she's employed by Mr King but pushes her doubts aside. Her new job quickly becomes her worst nightmare when she's sold by her new boss, Mr King, into a sex trafficking ring. Bane is the Alpha Male of this story. He takes Ava under his protection against his better judgement.
This is where the story becomes quite dark and considering Celia Loren's previous MC books, its not what I expected!
It took me a little while to take to Bane as a character, he didn't have many redeeming qualities and treated Ava just like the other club slaves. It wasn't until I reached the 40% mark when I started to see another side to Bane. This is when Bane reveals a few secrets of his own and a little of his past.
I don't want to give too much away but I did question Avas ability to turn her back on her family so easily after only knowing Bane a few days. That being said a HEA is on the cards for this couple! We don't get to meet many more (or any) other decent members in the Death Layer MC. Unlike most books that have great supporting characters, there were no other characters that I can say I'd like to know their story.
This book does keep us on our toes desperately reading, hoping for a positive turn in events. There is an awful lot suspense and action packed into this MC book.

Its definitely value for money and I would recommend it to other MC fans out there. I would advise readers of its darker content, but if it was always hearts and flowers we would become bored quite quickly. It certainly hasn't put me off buying other books in this series!

I have to admit, when I picked this up and started reading it, I thought for a second I had opened the wrong book, it seemed to be going off in a different direction than I expected.

It took till nearly 20% of the book (according to the kindle) for the actual "story" to start really.

For me, there was far too much time spent on the whole "being fired, looking for a new job, interview for the new job" etc aspect. (and given the book ends at 86% on my kindle, which sort of annoyed me, as I expected more story) it made even less sense to have nearly 20% of a story that ends at 86% spent on imo non important stuff.

Bane was not what I expected from the blurb. Yes he was violent and a killer and what not, but he seemed watered down from what you would have expected.

But, in saying that, I did enjoy it, and found myself rooting for Bane and Ava.

However for me, it all happened a bit to quick, in a matter of days she is perfectly willing to be off with an entire new life, with only a token regret given to her family.

Another issue, for me, is that I do not like when an author describes a character as looking like this famous person or that famous person. I just prefer a description so I can build a picture in my head on my own. And it happened 3-4 times in this book with different characters. But that is just a personal preference.

I am unsure how the series is going to go on, this is book 1 apparently in (The Depraved Club), yet given the rest of the MC members were truly awful, as were any members of the DC itself I cannot see any future MC from among them

To be honest I didn't expected the book to be like this. I read the comments before to read it and I was expecting a very cruel book but for me at least, it isn't that cruel. It's a very violent book and touch cruel themes like trafficking and dog fights (I was scared for this) but the writer doesn't explain details or dig much on the scenes what I appreciate. So, I like how the writer writes. Also I was expecting the book to be more involved in club matters like others MC books but it doesn't happen. It could be perfectly a mob book from my point of view and nothing would have to be change.
In the other hand I didn't like the female main character Ava. To me, this character make stupid decisions. In her border and cruel situation, she doesn't stop to challenge others, even who wants to help her... and in this situations I think people tries to survived and not be hit for nonsense. Also I think all happens very fast...like four days. So for me this book is a very weird MC book.

This book is about Ava,it starts off with her being in hard times, looking for a job then a great job interview comes up with Vincent King a billionaire. She gets the job and her life is never the same. I won't spoil the book but I couldn't put it down,Ava or Red as she keeps getting called is a stubborn woman and when she ends up in the MC club she makes a lot more trouble for herself than they expect. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes reading MC stories,it's definitely for the over 18s & there is some violent scenes in this book but I'm looking forward to the next book which is out soon. Give this book a go,you won't be disappointed.

A dark and intense mc story which handles all kinds of issues. Depraved is definitely a good name for them! At first I wasn't sure about any hero who could be part of this club, thankfully Jenny redeemed him in my eyes as I was struggling to feel any love for him.
It did take me a while to get into the story, too much was going on too quickly but I persevered and I'm glad I did as things improved resulting in a fast paced, hot and heavy read.
Sadly I didn't fall in love with any of the supporting characters something I generally enjoy doing as I then feel that I have more to look forward to in a series...

Really enjoyed reading this book but felt it should have ended on a cliff hanger rather than adding the epilogue. I hate cliff hangers but felt the epilogue was rushed and I was thinking "Oh. Is that it?" I felt as if the author had offered a stand-alone book and therefore had to deliver something. Hopefully we'll get more information in the next book.

Now this is more like it. Don't get me wrong I love a good love story, soppy and heart breaking. This story is far from it though. sex, violence you name it is in this story-although in the end there's a happy ending. But all the way through its tense and gripping, your fearing for her life & his, but I Loved it..

This was a bit different from other m.c books, usually they're rough guys but good guys, but not in this book! Seems the main character was the only good guy in the whole club, having said that I did like the story and would recommend this book. I'll look out fir further books from this author

Perhaps I should have considered the title a bit more carefully. This was a book of violence which made for uncomfortable reading. Depraved it certainly was. Not recommended for those of a nervous disposition.
