This book reads like a brief summary of Gretchen Reynold's excellent first book, "The First 20 Minutes: The Surprising Science of How We Can Exercise Better, Train Smarter and Live Longer"

I'm not sure it adds much to the first book, but if you want a briefer version of that book it works well enough.

I didn't feel it worked well as a "personal trainer" or as a book describing, or helping readers choose, the right workouts for everyone. It didn't seem to me to deliver on the claim in its subtitle. The book that I have found helpful for that is HIIT - High Intensity Interval Training Explained

This is a decent short book, that will introduce the longer one well. If you've already read the longer one you don't particularly need this one as well.
