I've never read anything by this author before and I'm pleasantly surprised. Now I can read her whole back catalogue. Wild oats is full of intrigue, will they/won't they and a constant change of heart as to whether or not you even want them to. But in the end things turn out for the best.

Loved it, loved it, loved it. Veronica Henry is a writing genius. Lovely lighthearted storyline, likeable characters and interesting senarios. You can almost feel the chemistry between Jamie and Rod through the pages and the temptation to give Claudia and Zoe a slap is unbearable. Tongue in cheek humour, good fun and definatly worth a read. A gem of a book.

Loved this one of Veronica Henry's books, just liked her others, she is an amazing writing, keeping you wanting more and more and hoping that when you get to the end of this book that there is another continuing saga part 2 of Wild Oats.

Beautifully written. Jamie Wilding was hired by an American family, she stayed only for eight weeks maximum, once the mother had recovered from the birth Jamie left. She prefered maternity nursing over nannying, so that she never got attached to a child or the family. I felt very sad close to tears to read that while Jamie was at a restaurant in Sausalito she got a telephone from her father to say her mother won't make it through the night. Jamie instantly returns back home to the changed picturesque of Shropshire.

This is the first of Veronica Henry's books I've read but it won't be the last. It is a very enjoyable, well paced, humorous, bubbly book that's full of hunky men and sexy women with a good few affairs, rivalry, laughter and tears. It's a great holiday fun read very much in the style of Jill Mansell, Tina Reilly, Christina Jones etc.

With this book I was totally absorbed by the characters and their intertwined stories. As the tale unfolds around the three main characters . Jamie, Kiff and Olivier, the more the story pulls you in, with lovely little twists and turns and then the other characters are drawn into the mazy story lines. Written at that wonderful pace Veronica has perfected there is so much enjoyable reading . Coming to TFG end of this story is like placing the lash piece in s 1000piece jigsaw puzzle . A wonderful story.

The writing in this book brings a tear to your eye in all the right places, is absorbing & is not one to put down & read another day! The story takes many twists & turns, it keeps you guessing & wishing the whole way through & does not dissapoint at the last page.
Veronica Henry has portraied the different aspects true to life in the contrasting lifestyles & hobbies involved & makes it all seem so touchable.
Pick it up, I honestly belive for lighthearted entertainment you wont want to put it down - it flows from one chapter to the next.........

It was ok, a bit predictable in the way everybody ended up happy and fulfilled in a slightly unrealistic way. We really don't mind if things go wrong for people occasionally - it would make things much more natural. Quite a long book, some irritating characters (Zoe, Claudia & Jamie to a lesser degree). Nothing more to say really, just ok.

Another great read from Veronica Henry. Great story with unexpected twists, characters I can relate to and plenty of the feel good factor. Please could the BBC ask Ms Henry to return to writing the scripts for the Archers. Her skills are much missed by the Archer addicts who are having to suffer the tv soap opera authors.

Veronica Henry knows how to build characters everyone can relate to on some level. She weaves her storylines so well and if you have read her other books some of the people and places overlap. Wild Oats is another corker and once again she has delivered a wonderfully told story.
