Another cracking instalment in the extinction wars, really picks up the pace and leaves plenty of room for further books. With any luck Vaughn will continue with this series. Well worth it and nothing negative about the book, apart from my lack of sleep while I devoured it!

Good story and characters with a whole new universe of baddies . Great stuff and lots more to come I'm sure.

Great second book, easy reading, good perspective from a grunts view point.
Nice balance between ground and space based missions.
Would be great for a follow on , hopefully soon.

Great character development engaging plot. Just enough science to be interesting and some heart pounding battles. When can we expect the next one ?

This book suffers from being the middle book in a trilogy. This means that the space battles are really strung out and there is no hope of a conclusion until we get to the next book. I got fed up with the battles in hyperspace.. I have enough trouble imagining space without having to imagine hyperspace. .struggled with suspending disbelief. But I will probably read book number 3. I really like Commander Creed.

Really enjoyed it and downloaded book 3 as soon as I finished it. However, the reason I gave it 4 stars was because whoever did the proofreading needs to be stood up and lasered by one of the aliens. It was even worse than book 1. Also, isn't it handy that all this human food supplied by the aliens is readily available and they all speak and understand English!

After reading the first book in this series my expectation of a credible story that was both believable and well written, (as opposed to the first book) in this I was disappointed as this book was even worse than the first book. I read a lot of Science Fiction and this is possibly the worst book I have read for a very long time.

I was eagerly awaiting this sequel and it did not disappoint. I read it in one sitting and can heartily recommended it to anyone who enjoys military sci-fi.
I do hope there is another as the story is now ripping along nicely with interesting characters galore.

Old fashioned swashbuckling adventure .
Pretty good follow up to the first book.
Once again, saving the human race- and then the known universe- is the job of Commander Creed.
Prepare to have a fun read!

Book 2 leads on quite logically from Book 1 and quickly settles the reader back into the adventures of Commander Creed and his goal of cleaning up Earth (and of course exacting revenge wherever he can).
