5.0 out of 5 stars Eartha Kitt was a very special lady with a wonderfully wide repertoire in many languages, 21 Oct 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Eartha Kitt was a very special lady with a wonderfully wide repertoire in many languages. She was mainly a cabaret singer and was a regular fixture on radio and television in the 1950s. She only had one hit in the 1950s with Under The Bridges of Paris, included here. In the 1980s she had a career resurgence with high energy disco.

This is Eartha Kitt's classic period and the 60 tracks on this collections are among the very best songs that she recorded.

Sound quality is good and I have no hesitation in recommending this collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eartha still delights me!, 23 Oct 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Delighted to have this to play. I have listened to most of it already : Eartha sounds as wonderful as I remember when I could still play my old vinyl records. All my favourites are here, and some extras for me to learn to love! What a good price, too!
