Jackson's upbeat disco single brings a smile
on 23 May 2014
Recorded in 1983 now some thirty plus years we finally get to hear what could easily have been a track on the "Bad" album (this was recorded after the release of Thriller) Though it certainly has a strong "off the wall" "workin' day and night" feel to it.
This era is probably MJ at his strongest with the bright voice that capture the disco feel very well. The song is quite catchy, well mastered and re-mixed (the original version has a piano backing) This gets the full disco treatment and whilst we can never know if it's up to MJ's critical standards, it sounds good and makes a strong lead song for the Xscape album.
