4.0 out of 5 stars Suspense, romance and mystery
A gripping page-turner with an unpredictable yet original mystery at its core. Patricia Scott holds reader’s attention throughout with meticulous attention to the killer’s patterns and investigator’s thought processes. The characters are well developed and the plot benefits from a captivating romance that develops as the mystery unfolds. Not to be missed!

3.0 out of 5 stars Unconvincing
This is an ok and undemanding read, and it is all rather predictable. I'm not quite sure how the two strands of the plot (the serial murders on the one hand and the shady traffickers on the other) actually have much to do with each other, other than to provide a corpse and motivation for the failure of the last attempted murder. The one thing that I really found...

4.0 out of 5 stars good story, 2 May 2014

A good read, it was a page turner, and the story flowed nicely, only thing that lets it down, which is a pet dislike of mine, story finished at 95% of book, and gives you a chapter of another book, so feel.cheated,

4.0 out of 5 stars Gripping crime novel, 30 April 2014

When a young police officer is found strangled on the beach in the seaside town of Handley, the local police force is charged with the task of tracking down her violent killer.

A surprising plot that continuously develops with other murders and leads – Patricia Scott is a master at keeping the reader guessing.

An easy but nonetheless engaging and exciting read

This is an ok and undemanding read, and it is all rather predictable. I'm not quite sure how the two strands of the plot (the serial murders on the one hand and the shady traffickers on the other) actually have much to do with each other, other than to provide a corpse and motivation for the failure of the last attempted murder. The one thing that I really found unconvincing was a dating advert placed in the local paper with, apparently, no trail as to who placed it there. Has promise but let down by attention to such detail and a rather mundane plot. There are also a number of typos, the most glaring of which is 'pendent' for 'pendant' - quite a significant and oft-repeated word in this novel - which mysteriously assumes the correct spelling from about half-way through onwards. Now that *is* a mystery!

2.0 out of 5 stars very simplistic and rather predictable, 7 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Dying to Meet You (Kindle Edition)
Don't bother with this one if you are really into crime fiction. This is a very pedestrian story with simple characters an unchallenging plot and a rather predictable ending. It's like the author has read an idiots guide to writing crime fiction and then used a formula to churn this out. Not worth the money or time.
