5.0 out of 5 stars The Business
What at first seems like an odd alliance makes the most sense when you realise that Mick Green and the Pirates were the common denominator, shaping Wilko's guitar style and steering The Who towards its powerful approach with rhythm and lead guitars lines flowing seamlessly in and out of one another.

There are no prizes for innovation for the music on this...

This album is ok. Wilko is on good form. I always appreciated his guitar playing more than his vocals so thought I would enjoy this recording. It is pretty good though for me Daltry over does the blues singer growl a bit. nothing new here, mostly reworkings of Feelgood / Wilko tracks. Features superb bass player. Made go back and listen to vintage Feelgood which did in...

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic R&B performed by 3 of the true greats of the genre, 1 April 2014

Wilko Johnson has always (well at least since 1975) been one of my favourite song writers, guitarists & performers. Despite his illness his gigs are still hi-energy - with his blood red fender being played like a machine gun, just like it was in the 70's. This album brings together great tracks from Wilko's back catalogue, with pumping bass as usual from Norman Watt-Roy (they played together with the Blockheads), Daltrey bringing a richer feel to the vocals & Wilko delivering with his unmistakeable sound. One Dylan track is an unexpected bonus.

The album is brilliant - either as an introduction to Wilko, coming to him new in the light of recent Radio 2 interviews, or for long standing devotees of real RnB.

But don't just buy it - go & see the man - he's still gigging & loving it!

Real classic stuff, Daltreys' vocals gritty and raw. Wilko is just a legend.
