4.0 out of 5 stars Good read!
Very good read that also served to inspire me to discover other authors and sources that I might not have considered if I hadn't come across this. Interesting, informative and insightful.

5.0 out of 5 stars a complete and generalised overview of some of Cleary's othe, 15 Mar. 2001
By A Customer
a complete and generalised overview of some of Cleary's translations dealing with ancient strategic gameplay and codes of living particularly as related to the Samurai and Bushido. Readers will also be interested in Cleary's work with Shambhala Publications : Art of War, Book of Five Rings and Code of the Samurai (Tuttle) which ideas are essentially condensed in "The Japanese Art of War"
