Book is good value for money although too much emphasis on cars and not enough on the motorcycles which I remember from visiting the Speed Trials through the 60's,70's and 80's. I particularly remember the cbx1000 six cylinder bike which had just been launched in the UK and caused a stir at the trials. If I had known so little coverage on two wheelers I don't think I would have bought the book. Not balanced enough. That is not to say it is a poor book. For car enthusiasts i am sure they will enjoy rather more than me. Mel W
An excellent book which filled me with nostalgia for the Brighton Speed Trials of the 1960's which I attended religiously , sometimes with my father , sometimes with school friends . It filled me with a nostalgia for a simpler age . A delightful book , I still remember the rubber smoke left by Mickey Thompson's dragster 'demonstration' in 1963 .
