After a long break the lads are back with a stunning 4 track EP. Refugees is the lead single but all of the others easily sit alongside it in terms of quality. If you are a fan of The Editors , U2 , Coldplay or just an Embrace fan then buy it now . You will not be dissapointed.

If you thought you knew Embrace, if you thought you knew what to expect this time around then think again. These guys are BACK! and with more spine-tingling euphoria than ever before. This time they are darker, but at the same time, more euphoric than ever. forget the sound of the 90's. This is most definitely a sound of the future. They can do no wrong if they continue in this vain. If you haven't already, have a look at their secret gigs. I was lucky enough to get to their most recent in Holmfirth. I can honestly say, they have a fan-base like no other. I haven't experienced a band/fan interaction like this, ever! Embrace give back 100% what they receive and are handsomely rewarded with a loyalty that is crazy to see, considering they've been away for eight years.

Back to the music; if these four tracks didn't make the album, then the album is going to blow the world away because Refugees EP is a real thing of beauty and, played live, these tracks here had the Holmfirth Picturedrom floor BOUNCING!!! Unbelievable. Buy it! and then get yourself to secretgig.com

I have been a fan of Embrace from pretty much day one back in the 90's.
I have been waiting patiently for the last 7-8 years for them to return.
And now they are back with what seems like Embrace 2.0
Revamped and updated to compete and beat the modern generation.
Still sounding like Embrace but newer, more modern sounding, contemporary even.

Decades has a menacing guitar undertone, Bullets is a classic Embrace ballad with shades of The XX 'Intro'.
Chameleon could be in a John Hughes film from the Eighties as memorable as it is.
The lead single, Refugees sees Rik on vocals with a Danny cameo near the end. It really feels like an affirmation and almost brought tears to my eyes when I 1st saw the video. Like a rebirth, a saving.

So they're back.
And my world axis is righted.

Great return from my favourite band. It's been a long time coming and I'm now really looking forward to the album.
Sounds like a slight contradition as there is a new sound going on but with shades of the dry kids b-sides era - love it!

Refugee is just superb, and the other 3 tracks could quite easily have been a lead single. It has a feel of early New Order/late Joy Division, but with a bit more bounce. Well worth a listen

The title track is awesome, lyrics of a poet, and the music one the same level as Elbow and Doves. A fantastic return from Embrace and I can't wait for the album in April
