We loved the first two series and so went for this one. Very drab and depressing and nowhere near as good as the first two.

The acting is first rate the actors are. Very good also the story lines are true to life. Maxine Peake as usual is brilliant.

I have been a fan of this series since the first episode. The whole series is superbly acted and the cases are thrilling and intriguing from beginning to end.

The stand out performances have to come from Maxine Peake as the brilliant but flawed Martha Costello. I have never liked a character so much but at times found them so infuriating. However she is probably pipped at the post by the amazing Caroline Warrick, played by Frances Barber who has all of the best lines and delivers them with such venom, she almost spits it through the screen at you.

It's a real shame this 3rd series is supposed to be the last as there is so much more they can do. Hopefully it is not the last we have seeN of this great bunch of characters and actors. Surely a CW spin off is a certainty!

Silk barrister trying hard to win her cases.
Gathering facts does not always lead to the truth.

Series 3 of 'Silk' was a disappointing end to what started as an outstanding and superb series. From the start, series 3 did not sit right with me. Martha was no longer the revered central character and Clive became the darling of Shoe Lane, and the bench, in his first year as QC . This turned the entire series on it's axis and confused me. Then I watched the final episode and I can only assume, after coming to the frustratingly poor ending, that the writers had been told to end the series quickly and that that would be the end of series 3 and 'Silk'.
I am extremely disappointed with this series and, quite frankly, feel that the ending itself leaves an opening to return for further 'Silk' episodes to put to rest the real meaning of this shambolic and surreal scene.
