This book is a fantastic primer on how to get strong. Properly strong. Pavel outlines the routines and methods used by some of the strongest lifters of all time, and where appropriate mentions ways in which to tweak them in order to suit the reader. Included are ways to build the squat, deadlift, bench and the all but forgotten overhead press. The foundations of any decent strength training program. If all you knew about strength training was the contents of this book, you would be sorted for life.

At the current E book price of 1.80 it is the absolute best money you could spend on such material. One copy of Mens Health or Muscle and Fitness is how much nowadays?

There are a lot of gimmicks out there and 'flavour of the month' exercise fads. I have probably bought them all at some point! Start with Pavel (and Dan John) and stay there.

This is a book I need to grow into but it's an absolute goldmine of information. Pavel is a genius at reverse engineering the skill of strength. I'm not really strong enough for a lot of this yet - standard PTP is still giving me strength gains - but when I plateau, I know this will take me to the next level.

I bought this for my kindle.....really informative, gives you some excellent workouts like the Smolov Squat routine to help you bust through a plateau.

Not bad for the price :)
