If you have read the previous St Mary's books, which you really should have done, then this book will keep you guessing where it's going to go next at every turn. The characters are really developed and emotional bonds fully formed, so when someone dies (I won't say who), it hits you just as much as it does their friends. As per usual for St Mary's they drink lots of tea and jump all over time mucking things up or putting it right, then at the end they......... Well you better read it and find out!

I loved all three books, and I so wish that there were another three! Well written, exciting, thrilling, with lots of humour and twists and turns to the plot. Max is my kind of heroine - slightly flawed, totally human, and liable to get everything wrong. Wonderful!

Completely surprising and thoroughly entertaining. What a great way to think about history, with a sci-fi twist. Really engaging and fun too. Highly recommend this series.

It's been a good while since I've read a series of books, where the next one is as good as, or better, than the last. This is one of those occasions. I can't put these books down. They're compelling and Jodi Taylor is a very talented author. Sci-fi, romance, drama, adventure, comedy, in every book. The characters have depth and are completely believable. If you only read one set of books this year, make it these. You won't be disappointed. I can't wait for the next one.

This series of books just gets better with each one. I thoroughly enjoyed this, although it did go a bit crazy at the end and I'm not sure how I feel about that - without giving anything away, it looked like the series was coming to a close, but now I'm not so sure.

Having enjoyed reading these books, and not really wanting to stop, I think I would welcome more in the series. It'd be interesting to see how the characters we've got to know are different after "the change" - for example, if we've all grown to hate "Bitchface Barclay", only for her to actually be nice. Things could get weird here.

However, I'd recommend this one - and the whole series - regardless of however many more there are.

Another good read. The story continues to keep you wanting more right until the last page. Can't wait for the next one!
There are a few surprises in this adventure, but I won't say what, because it might spoil the story for the reader.

This is the fourth book I've read by this author and have to say that I have enjoyed every one. Even the short story and normally I don't like short stories. I do hope there's going to be another one in the St Mary's series. Please!

Loved it. The barmpots are back and this time Max comes back from a day away to find her team have dyed themselves bright blue. And it won't come off. Brilliant. Go buy the first book now. Immediately.

Hilarious, scary, huge fun. you get really caught up in the adventures and the heroine is great! where else do you find an academic, short, red haired heroine with constipation and a gift for causing mayhem? Wonderful!
