Well that was mostly embarrassing. The first 5 seasons were excellent, but it's now turned into a cartoon. I still managed to watch it 'til the end, but some of the episodes were just plain awful (as one other reviewer noted, the scene with the hologram at funeral is where it jumped the shark). Yes, I'll still watch the next season, but they really need to get away from the 'crazy famous person hires Hank to write blah blah whilst the rest of the cast just do slapstick and see how many swear words and sexual deviance they can fit in an episode' formula. Previous seasons were the right mix of funny, intelligent and risqué...fingers crossed for season 7!

I loved Season 1-5, but Season 6 was terrible! It was boring, totally unbelievable and humourless.
There must be enough real English actors in California, instead of inflicting on us the Dick Van Dyke style accents of Tim Minchin, his wife and especially the overacting rock star widow loon! Couldn't Karen have given them some guidance?!

Ladies and gentlemen, FYI, there are millions of prospective buyers out here for whom the following short bit of information is vitally important: Do these DVDs come with subtitles, English for the Hearing Impaired ?? This is very important (otherwise we cannot follow the dialogue-- some things come across as mumbles). Please, it is only one more line in the list of details of Product Information, but it really makes a difference for many of us. Before we spend our hard-earned money, we have the right to know about the existence or absence of such subtitles.
Thanks, ALFREDO ANTILLON M.

Its californication you already know its going to be amazing. The ending is one of the best as well but not as good as season 3 nothing beats season 3.

Enjoyed it thoroughly but not in the same way I have enjoyed previous seasons. I did not feel compelled to watch the next episode after finishing one and to be honest the self indulgence of some of the characters is becoming a tad bit tedious.

You get the feeling everyone is getting their act to together and this is setting the story up for nice finale. Who knows still looking forward to next seas though.

This series was pointless. Amusing as ever, full of funny one-liners, but looking tired. If you run out of ideas, just kill it please. It should have ended here but looks like another one is in the pipeline.

one of my favourite shows of the last 5 years. Although this series was extremely funny, it is clear that the format is getting repetitive, but due to the excellent cast, they still manage to amuse. Glad the next series will be the last , as I don't want it limping on to eventually become boring.

A real shame, and a real sham. Season four was a hard act to follow thus season five was acceptable with some high points. This season drifts seamlessly from embarrassing to humiliating and frankly I feel sorry for the series regulars, especially Duchovny, having to demean themselves in this way. One bit of relief from the nonsense is the blossoming relationship between Hank and Faith, where we see a glimmer of commitment from Hank and an alternative side to his usual MO. However, this really is the only element worth watching, the rest is bloated, over hyped slap stick and seriously unfunny. Should have hired some other writers, as Becca say's 'you can't polish a turd.'

The sixth season of this outrageous show could easily have fallen into the trap of re treading familar ground however the fresh dynamic between recurring characters and the new help stack this season up with the best.
