Aliens appear out of nowhere and present themselves to our hero, " take us to your leader". So he rings the president, and hey presto the president stops what he's doing and comes to visit. This was the common theme throughout the book, everyone took everything on face value and would donate people and resources to the cause and form a world government. I gave this 3 stars, because despite this I read the book to end, and found myself wanting to see how this ends.

If you like a story that has a very simple view of the world, of aliens and there worlds, then this is for you. The story telling is in the same vain and format. Its not challanging in any way and takes a childs view point of situations. There is little to describe the technology and when it does go into the most simplistic detail you find that continuity rears its head and the capabilities change.
If your looking for a book that has depth, continuity and a universe that you want to continue to explore then this isnt for you.

I would suggest this book would be acceptable for younger readers where scenarios arent expected to go beyound the:
Alien-"I'm an Alien, trust me",
Character1 response - "OK, how can I help"

A futuristic Sci-fi space drama, with an interesting link to mythical earth history, I found the book an excellent read that kept me interested and waiting to see how the characters and plot progressed, the only part that let this story down for me was the lack of emotion from characters within the book when crew deaths occurred. I now sit in anticipation waiting for the next instalment to be published. highly recommended to any sci-fi fan

The idea that we supply help to a people who are here to observe us is a great way to start the story. The action is believable and interesting. I read to escape the realities I work with. This story succeeded for me.

Really poorly written, characters are paper thin, some have been lifted straight out of other books/movies. Hattori Hanzo? Seriously?

Don't waste your money.

American centric pap for the xenophobe. I stopped reading after about 8 pages a waste of time and money, pure 1950's comic book story
