5.0 out of 5 stars A Must-Have for Anyone Who Has Ever Enjoyed Listening to Allan Clarke Sing!
It took two weeks from the U.S. release date until "Sideshow: Solo Recordings 1973-1976" arrived in my mailbox, but it was worth every minute of the wait. This 2-CD compilation set not only showcases Allan's distinctive vocal talent but his amazing gift for songwriting as well. 3.0 out of 5 stars Not as I remembered it
Bought this to replace long time lost vinyls. I thought it would have stood the test of time but unfortunately not. He was the first artist to cover Bruce Springsteen but they don't live up to the originals. The 'I've got time' is definitely the best out of the three albums here but all 3 sound a little bit dated.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must-Have for Anyone Who Has Ever Enjoyed Listening to Allan Clarke Sing!, 22 April 2014
This review is from: Sideshow Solo Recordings 1973-1976 (Audio CD)
It took two weeks from the U.S. release date until "Sideshow: Solo Recordings 1973-1976" arrived in my mailbox, but it was worth every minute of the wait. This 2-CD compilation set not only showcases Allan's distinctive vocal talent but his amazing gift for songwriting as well. It also includes his unique interpretations on several cover versions including a highly charged, and incredibly energetic, version of "Blinded by the Light" by Bruce Springsteen, and, in my opinion, a much clearer rendition of Springsteen's "Born to Run" than "The Boss" recorded.

5.0 out of 5 stars Allan shines !, 24 April 2014

This review is from: Sideshow Solo Recordings 1973-1976 (Audio CD)
This is a composite of his solo CD s which have been long deleted. The voice is superb as lead singer of the Hollies a group I love he lead for 40 years until his voice began to desert him. The choice of music is so different to the Hollies but they are very good Pop songs. Give it a listen you will not be disappointed.
