4.0 out of 5 stars The Ultimate tribute to the real Warrior., 19 July 2014

This review is from: WWE: Ultimate Warrior - The Ultimate Collection [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
Relive the greatest moments of Jim during his impressive run at the top of the WWF/WWE. Matches and commentary galore alongside colourful interviews from those who knew him best. However I fear this may be a "watch once" kind of item unless you are a hardcore fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars R.I.P. Warrior... You were, are and always will be an inspiration..., 22 May 2014
WWE: Ultimate Warrior - The Ultimate Collection [DVD] ... Finally, it's here!!!

Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior is an awesome DVD and although completely Biased, certainly a must have/flip side to this collection...

This triple disc set is awesome and worth whatever you want it to be worth... Great guy, Great DVD and hopefully soon... A Great secondhand price ;) Sorry, but i aint putting money in WWE's pocket for this... My cash is going to a fellow fan who deserves it when they decide their done with it... I can wait... And it'll be all the better for it :D

I'll start by saying i am a huge Ultimate Warrior fan and always have been. The facepaint, tassles, music, electric entrance and intensity are unmatched by anyone before or after. What this Blu-ray is, is basically short snipets of a sit down interview inbetween every match or promo that is shown on the blu-ray, in like for like style similar to the Bret Hart: Dungeon Collection. If you are expecting something like a life and career DVD/Blu-ray like [i know it's Bret Hart again for it's the best example] Bret Hart: The best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be, then you may be somewhat dissapointed like myself. Yes, there are 30 [yes, 30] matches on the 2 disc Blu-ray, but a big chunk are squash matches against random chumps. His most notable matches are in there [Hogan WM6, Savage WM7, Honky Tonk Man Summerslam 88'] but they were already on the previous Ultimate Warrior DVD several years back. The Blu-ray paints a different picture than The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior DVD, as the only person talking on this one is Warrior. He doesn't take pot shots at anybody, not even the ones who really layed into him on the other DVD such as Bobby Heenan or Ted Dibiase and with the exception of his time in WCW makes it all seem like it was hunky dory really. There is no mention at all as to why he left the WWF in 1991, 1992 or 1996 other than him saying he had other things to do besides wrestling. He also doesn't make any reference as to why WCW ignored him for the final months of his contract there either. So really, all this is is what the title of the DVD/Blu-ray says, his 'Ultimate Collection'. What he does say at the end though is that this is 'only the beginning' and the 'real story' will be told at some point down the line. All in all, this collection is good, but perhaps not quite 'Ultimate'.

5.0 out of 5 stars FEEL THE POWER, 9 April 2014

The wait is over! An Ultimate Warrior collection told by the man himself. No whining or moaning like many people thought.
There are some classic and some short matches and the stories the Warrior tells between the matches make it worth the money. There are a couple of matches from the early days as the Blade runners & the Dingo Warrior. The big feuds are included; Andre, Hogan, Macho Man and Rick Rude. The downside is there is only one match from 1992, the tag match from November The Ultimate Maniacs VS Money Inc, personally, I would like to have seen more from this time period. There are no matches from WCW, but i can see why. So this took a long time to come, but the wait is worth it, hope they do another collection with some of the matches that weren't included on this set
