This is an excellent account of a relationship between two totally mismatched individuals. The book was balanced in its approach to each side, although, like many other accounts of the couple's life together, it was clear that Prince Charles was perhaps less to blame for the collapse of the marriage than the Princess who took on the role Princess of Wales with absolutely no awareness of her husband's commitments and duties and was much too immature to adapt to marriage to the heir to the throne

Ordered out of curiosity! I have always suspected that Diana was not all angel as professed by some. It is an interesting read but need to keep an open mind. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors!

A well argued and documented justification of the Prince of Wales.

Spin pure and simple to make Charles and camilla look good, and improve Charles's public persona, but saying all that not too bad a read

Interesting. The other side to the story was rather fascinating. Perhaps Charles should have spoken out when he had the chance instead of keeping quiet to try and cover things up under the proverbial royal whitewash. Why protect a tyrant? Even if it is your wife, why cover up the truth?. A lie is a lie is a lie. Silence can also be a lie. Now the lie is perpetrated and spoon fed to the public who worship at Diana's shrine. The whole thing is a farce.

Penny Junor tries to be scrupulously fair but no matter you will realise what a victim, the Prince of Wales was. His devotion to duty is to be greatly admired.

This book was amazing. I truly believe that the author has done a great job. I find this story very gripping and the tragedy of Diana Princess of Wales in 1997. And the way her two children behaved and walked behind their mother's coffin at such a young age was very brave. William and Harry are a Credit to their mother.

This book was a surprisingly good read. I went into the book totally indifferent about Charles as a character, but I must admit he came up smelling of roses. Don`t let that put you off though, there is so much to keep you interested. This is a book you cant put down, and full of surprises.
