5.0 out of 5 stars An extraordinarily rich album
This collection of intriguing Jazz classics with a realm of A-list guest artists and arrangers, teamed up with one of the most astonishing orchestras of the genre makes top class listening. It was in fact an exciting experience to play this recording start to end - one that I last experienced in the days of LPs that I had to save up for for weeks. There's a needle moment...

2.0 out of 5 stars Um!
The recordings in this project have impressed to date. But for me the content in this release was disappointing. Pity.

There's a needle moment here, and it doesn't disappoint.

Tommy Smith has put his fine tuned attention to detail and nose for what works to practice once more. Flipping brilliant!

I'm biased, as I played on the record & so was also lucky enough to be in that recording session in New York. What a great few days it was & a credit to everyone who worked so hard before, during & after. I hope you all get to hear that vibe we had, that was at times 'electric' & always inspirational!
Here's some more info abuot the soloists for those that are into this detail....I know I am!
