5.0 out of 5 stars Great
Another great read from Stephen. I was not sure how he would compress this into a short story but he did and it worked.

3.0 out of 5 stars Shows promise
An interesting introduction to a new character from Mr Leather. A large helping of Noir (which is never a bad thing) in a modern setting makes for a fun read. It's a bit thin on plot, but it is a short story. I'll be reading the first full novel in the series on the strength of this story.

Such a fantastic short read. Once again Stephen Leather delivers A+ for his fans. Loved it. Can't recommend this or his other books enough.

Supernatural thrillers aren't really my thing....but I have to admit to having a soft spot for Stephen Leathers Jack Nightingale series, the banter between private eye Jack and his assistant Jenny is always guaranteed to make me smile.

In this short novella Jack is surprised to find a priest from the Vatican waiting in his office requesting his assistance in finding out if a young girl who's reportedly bleeding from the hands and feet is genuine or not.

A nice quick read that was absorbing and as always made me smile....especially the portrayal of the doctors' surgery receptionists!

Shame it was so short but it was just enough to whet my appetite for the forthcoming publication of the 5th book in the Nightingale series 'Lastnight'

Great book, only problem was that it was too short and I would have like to delve deeper in to the story.
As usual Stephen Leathers books didn't disappoint.

This is a great read, another short story before his new novel comes out in January which I can't wait for.

Jack as usual gets dragged into something supernatural and as always with these books, you cannot wait to see how it ends up - wonderful as always :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Magic!, 21 Dec 2013

Another great story from Stephen Leather, short and sweet but gripping. You won't want to put it down. This could easily have been a full length novel, but it has enough content to still get the magic of Nightingale.
Really enjoyable read.
