I bought a kindle version of this book on a whim and am really pleased that I did. Reading this book invites you to press the reset button on you life, to take a step back and realise that you are free to choose the life you live. Covering all the latest research and thinking the book presents you with a practical understanding of how to take stock of your life without wading through the academic journals. Presents beautifully on the kindle making this a joy to read especially if work has started to become dull, annoying or simply a waste of your precious life and skills.

When I started out in my career, I was full of energy, ambition and very clear about who I was and how I wanted to be. Over the years and having spent time in many different jobs, I look back and wish it felt now just like it did then.
The truth is it can do. The trouble is our work often takes us over and we become a different version of ourselves.
Free! is a really powerful reminder of how important it is to be true to who we are. If we can be free to be ourselves then we will be happier at work and our employers will benefit. We are more productive, more creative and make a positive impact on those we work with. The book isn't just speculation but built on science and solid research which demonstrates that being happy at work is not just a nice to have but and essential ingredient of success.
Free! is essentially a collection of tips and reminders to help us be true to ourselves. We have to take responsibility for our own futures so if something isn't right fix it!
I love the fact that you can slip this in your pocket and dip in randomly whenever you feel like it. It is a fabulous portable source of stimulus. I would recommend this to anyone who isn't 100% happy in their working life.

You know how refreshing it is when someone punches through the noise and jargon and pretence and says it like it is? If not, get a copy of Free. Chris Barez Brown has poured himself and his experience into a book which is bursting with doable ideas and zest for life. For once, work isn't a dirty word. It's a context for joyful living. It's not actually free - despite the title. But worth the cover price ten times over. Love it.

I had been waiting what felt like an eternity for this book to come out as I really enjoyed and benefited from the authors previous book 'Shine'. Free! does not disappoint, it is punchy, memorable and filled with some great facts that reinforce the message of how to find happiness in your work and home life. By the end of reading it I felt inspired, determined to make some changes to my life and a little bit happier...really like the rounded page corners too.

FREE is a fabulous book for any of us for whom work sometimes isn’t working. It’s full of insight and practical tips for everyone – from bosses to employees and freelancers. Read it from cover to cover or keep it close and dip into its pages regularly for a fresh shot of inspiration into how to make your working life fuller, richer, more fun. I've only had my copy a week and its already looking dog-eared!

A total joy. Full of energy and common sense that masks the hefty slice of business acumen. Chris manages to weave some new age stuff in amongst the tried and tested material - and it works beautifully. The main message is a wake-up call to what we already know; the world has moved on folks, and so must our thinking

With 2 hours to spare (perfect on your next train journey or flight) Free! gives you a quick workout on what's important to get you on track with work and life and you. Some great provocation and some wise words too. A very good use of anyone's 2 hours and it will reap rewards for a long time to come.

Free! is full of some fantastic ideas about how to reignite your passion for your job and great advice about living your life a little more fully. Many of Chris Barez-Brown`s suggestions are relatively simple to implement although some will require a little planning. Over the weekend the whole family enjoyed talking about what fantastic things had happened during their days and I am really looking forward to reinvigorating the many meetings I have scheduled over the coming weeks. There are many more changes that I intend to make over the next few months, including dipping into Free whenever I am feeling in need of an injection of energy.

Some good suggestions in here, would have liked more in depth at times as it quickly moved from one idea onto another, but generally a good read and I am taking some of the suggestions and trying them out! Definitely worth a read, there will be something in here for everyone.
