5.0 out of 5 stars I'm not the man you think I am
A sordid tour through London's underbelly at the turn of the twenty-first century, the title proves true from the very start. But like lyrics from a song by The Smiths, there's more to it than a girl leading a man astray, investigative journalist Lishman forced to question his and the city's identity. Great read and can't wait to see where Lishman heads next...

wow! what a great read, excellent novel, Lishman is a dishevelled journalist with one of those friends who gets you into trouble. I loved all the London detail and noirish tension. Look forward to more from Yorvik!

A fascinating thriller which doesn't let up the pace for a second. I couldn't wait to get up and continue reading! The story follows journalist Lishman around London and Newcastle as he unravels a murder mystery involving some interesting and intricate characters and which puts his own life in danger. There are some great twists and a rare unpredictability to the overall plot. Can't wait for more...

Pretty girls is an exciting thriller with our hero on the run through the gritty backwaters of London (sometimes literally in deep water). Well observed and written I found this novel hard to put down!

I'm new to Kindle and this was my first purchase. Wow, the story twists and turns and like all good thrillers trips you up just as you thought you were seeing the full picture. This is an intricate tale which will keep you guessing till the last pages/screens. Hats off to the author who has created a lead character in the best traditions of Richard Hannay, Sam Spade and Harry Palmer. Take a chance as I did with this book, you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to put down..., 11 Jan 2014
This review is from: PRETTY GIRLS MAKE GRAVES: a gripping crime thriller (Kindle Edition)
...but only when you've read to the end and found out how the intriguing plot, full of unexpected twists and turns, works out!

Set in Camden and Newcastle (probably the two trendiest spots in Britain), "Pretty Girls Make Graves" is an exciting and fast-paced thriller with our hero Lishman on the run from sinister forces. A great read, packed with action and suspense -- I'd recommend it very highly.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best-written eBooks I've read in a long time, 6 Jan 2014

I'm glad I took a chance on Pretty Girls Make Graves. One of the best-written eBooks I've read in a long time, it's of as good a standard as any print novel. It's tightly-written, well-edited, with a smart, accessible modern noir style. The characters are very well-drawn & believable. It reads like a hardboiled detective classic had been relocated to modern-day London. Strongly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars If Carlsberg did crime/thriller....., 13 Jan 2014
This review is from: PRETTY GIRLS MAKE GRAVES: a gripping crime thriller (Kindle Edition)
This book actually deserves far more than the five stars i've given it but that's out of my hands. This is, to put it simply, one of the best crime/thriller novels i've evet had the pleasure to read. I love the gritty, London setting. The characters are fresh and engaging. The twists and turns ard incredible but believable. This book got me hooked from the first line and reeled me right in until the very last. I cannot wait to read the next book in the trilogy.

This is a real action packed, pacy thriller that grabs you at hello and won't let go. Best thriller I've read in a long time, forget sleeping this will keep you turning the pages til the wee hours. Not like anything I've read before and completely thought provoking..conspiracy theory or coincidence theory??? If this novel is anything to go by, then this author can only get better..can't wait for the next book. Bought this as a free book on amazon, but notice this Is now a well earned £2something...buy it..you won't be disappointed
