5.0 out of 5 stars Not what I was expecting!
Not a great lover of Short Stories, I really like to get into a good book with a single storyline.

But this was great. Loved that the stories were not all Joe! Odd that innit? Yes he was in all of them, but not the main protaganist in all of them.

All the stories were well written, and very enjoyable. All the regular characters and some history...

I really loved this series of easy reading books to start with but the last few have been dire. It seems the author is just churning them out without any thought to the content at all. Shame.

Please Mr. Robinson, can the next STAC be full length?

i adore these books. i read one on spec as i'd never heard of them and i enjoyed it so much i'm working my way through them all.

The characters are well written and you feel as if you know the people; i love the fact that Joe (the detective) is a grumpy man on the outside but is actually very kind hearted.

i'd recommend these stories to anyone who enjoys a good, well written mystery - i'm a detective story addict and the stories are so well written that i don't always work out whodunnit. I can hardly wait to turn the next page and have been known to stay up half the night to finish a book.

I HAVE READ ALL THE SANFORD THIRD AGE CLUB BOOKS AND THIS WAS DIFFERENT AS IT WAS SHORT STORIES WITHIN THE FULL STORY, TOLD BY THE THREE MAIN CHARACTERS IN THE SERIES, BUT JUST AS ENTERTAINING. THESE BOOKS ARE THE KIND YOU CANNOT PUT DOWN AS THEY ARE SO EASY TO READ WITH A CUP OF COFFEE.

It's good to see the writing and characters develop.

Some interesting ideas, bite sized stories.

A really enjoyable, quick read.

I love these books. Ive read everyone and this one has that slight difference, but still the same. Maybe this format could be used again.
Im fast thinking that those people around Joe Murray are worse than Midsomer for murders!!!

I cant wait for the next one in this series.
