Since 'Lillian's Story' burst onto the scene in 2007, Sally Patricia Gardner has surely been one of this countries most read Authors. Sally's books are always meticulously researched and well written and the skill with which she paints vivid pictures of her characters, their lives, surroundings and emotions is what makes her books so hard to put down. Whenever you read any of her books you soon find yourself inside the story with the character - living every moment and caring about the outcome...

Well, I am glad to say that the collection of short-stories that is 'The Pottery Tales' is no exception and that reading it has again enhanced my belief that one day Sally's books will be picked up for television or film. While the stories here may be shorter they are every bit as fresh, engaging and entertaining and 'A Christmas Story' is a festive classic to rival 'A Christmas Carol' if ever I saw one!

If you have any experience of any of Sally's previous work I have no hesitation in recommending you buy this.

On the other hand, If you have not yet taken the plunge and ventured to discover Sally's work, don't just take my word for how great she is, read the 400 plus reviews of 'Lillian's Story' and see for yourself how personally Sally's books resonate with people.

In a word - Essential.

Being the huge fan of Sally's work that I am, I didn't even have to read the product description before adding this to my basket. Needless to say it is another triumph.

Her concise, complex and yet incredibly inviting writing style lends itself perfectly to the world of short stories. It is as if the journey of reading a novel has been concentrated down into a tiny dose, leaving you feeling as if you have known the characters in each story for 15 years rather than 15 minutes.

Could not recommend this work higher. Fantastic!
