Quilt mix 1960's pysch pop with a 21st century harder edge here and the result is a for the most part a good set of songs. It works better with a sparser production as Anna Roschink's vocals are allowed to take over on the trip-hoppy Tie Up The Tides and the almost folky Artic Shark. The 1960's influences shine through most brightly on Eye Of The Pearl and Mary Mountain, whilst the band get an extra half point for the lyric "Im sitting here soaking in Day-Glo" on the driving Tired and Buttered. A good summer album.
