4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet mate
Its actually a good film, acting was decent enough to me.If you like Green Street, etc then its similar.

A bit overtop how all this violence never gets picked up by the police, but still its a film so who cares.

Good acting by big irish gang leader as cool and yet also pyscho aswell.

Good film overall I thought.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great cast but
Another in the long line of Brit hooligan/gangster films. This promised a lot with the great seasoned cast but story was usual format. However if you like the genre you will still like this even if it is not a Green Street or Rise of the Foot Soldier.

Really good film based on the book by Dougie Brimson. Id been waiting for this film since I first heard of it during pre-production.
It didnt disappoint. Great cast with Leo Gregory taking the starring role (still cant work out if he suits a beard or not).
Yes this film does have football links but Im really not a football fan and it made no difference to my enjoyment of the film.Top Dog isnt really about football, its about people. Its about how they deal with certain circumstances, its about how they deal with family, friends, reputation.
Also a great addition to the cast is the always fantastic Lorraine Stanley (London to Brighton, The Hooligan Factory)
Yes the film does fit into taht UK genre of Gritty, Urban Drama/Thriller but if you love that genre. The this is pretty much the film for you.

A twist on the usual 'Footie Hooligan' genre. I really enjoyed it and
would recommend it to others also. Excellent delivery
& at a reasonable price too. I think you will enjoy this.

Read the book and Billy Evans and Hawk etc are all West Ham fans so why change to Tottenham..A few similarities to the book but the book is much better and why change a lot of it around..overall disappointed with the film..

Poor film indeed. It tries to copy snippets from other great films and falls short, do yourself a favour and rent something else. Seemed over cockneyed but I am from the north...

Another one of these films that lives off the names of previous football/gangster films! Trailer shows all the "Best" bits!!!

Fight scenes are shocking closely followed by some shocking acting and the story line just topped it all off.

I would not suggest anyone even rents this never mind purchase!
