5.0 out of 5 stars Cliff hanger
A bit of a slow down from the past couple of books but still held my mind, as it comes into the final chapter it gets gritty again and ends on a great cliff hanger. Superb.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bored with series
This had potential to be a great series but after 9 1/2 books i have decided I can take no more. My main issue is that every character is the greatest hero or the evilest villan. That the ladies are amazingly beautifil that the Thor is always certainly going to die all the time and that the monsters are the worst in all the universe. Its too much.

In addition...

In addition after Reece met Seleste and this was the "most beautiful girl he's ever met", in book 10 he remebers his childhood sweetheart who up to that point I can't remembering mentioning, her despite the fact he'd never forgotten her.

Fantasy stories are meant to be slightly believeable this is just not.

4.0 out of 5 stars A step too far, 11 Sept. 2014

The writing is becoming a little sloppy, I understand it is a fantasy but this is a step too far. Whole city's evacuated at the drop of a hat.
Perhaps I should change authors after reading 10 books in a row. The characters are well developed and I do like the dramatic ending to each book which encourages further reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars as usual book too short, 29 Mar. 2014

Morgan Rice is a great fantasy writer, however, her editor lets her down. The books are so short ending with cliff hangers then have to wait for the next to come out. I think these will go on forever with no finale

5.0 out of 5 stars History goes rollicking on, 10 Mar. 2014

This story seems to be endless and I am beginning to wonder if indeed it ever needs too. The story lines are so diverse and each in its own way is intriguing and there is a compulsion to find out what happens to each character and their intended and unintended actions how they interlink with each other, great.
Not to be missed as a series, read from the beginning and you too will be hooked.
